Renault discontinues Pulse and Scala in India

Earlier in 2015, Renault India temporarily stopped the production of the Pulse hatchback and the Scala sedan in India due to low demand.

The demand for these cars hasn't increased since then and now the car manufacturer has discontinued these models in the country as confirmed by a Renault dealer in the country. However, both models are still listed on the company's official Indian website. The company also announced the post GST (Goods and Service Tax) prices only for the Kwid, Duster and the Lodgy, which hints that the Scala and Pulse have been discontinued.
The company is currently working on the Renault Kaptur that has been spied testing many times on Indian roads.

The car is already available in global markets as the Captur and the India-bound model will be christened as Kaptur. The Renault Kaptur will be based on the Duster MO platform and will be positioned above the Duster. It will get a 7-seat configuration along with features like projector headlamps with C-shaped LED DRL's (Daytime Running Lamps) and alloy wheels. The cabin will receive a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Bluetooth, USB and AUX
Renault will also bring the Renault Clio hatchback in India that will be positioned above the Kwid in the country. The details about the new Clio is not revealed yet, but when launched in India, it will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki SwiftHonda JazzVolkswagen Polo, the Fiat Punto
